The Hong Kong Volunteer Award is made possible with the funding support of:
JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Outstanding Evergreen Volunteer Award and JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Outstanding New Star Volunteer Award
JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Outstanding Evergreen Volunteer Award

To encourage individuals of different ages to participate in volunteers' contributions to volunteering. The Award recognizes volunteers aged 50 or above and acknowledges their outstanding performance and contribution in volunteering. This award pays tribute to 50+ volunteers who promote volunteering through their passion and experience. It aims to enhance public awareness and social recognition and establish an exemplary volunteering model for the community to participate in volunteer services.


Eligibility:

  1. Candidates MUST possess a valid HKSAR identity card, or special approval from the HKSAR government to carry out volunteering activities in Hong Kong (Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department for their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit)
  2. Have a track record of continuous and active participation in volunteering and promoting volunteerism in Hong Kong, across the border or overseas. All service records for the period 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022 MUST be endorsed by a recognized local organization; and nominated by an individual or organization
  3. Evergreen Volunteer means individual volunteers aged 50 or above (born on 31st December 1972 or before) recognized by the following organizations: Registered commercial or non-profit organizations, including: government departments, statutory bodies, chambers of commerce, professional bodies or uniformed groups.

JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Outstanding New Star Volunteer Award

The Award recognizes volunteers who participated in volunteering for the first time. This award pays tribute to new star volunteers' outstanding performance and achievements in promoting volunteering. It aims to enhance public awareness and social recognition and establish an exemplary volunteering model for the community to participate in volunteering.


Eligibility:

  1. Candidates MUST possess a valid HKSAR identity card, or special approval from the HKSAR government to carry out volunteering activities in Hong Kong (Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department for their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit)
  2. Have a track record of continuous and active participation in volunteering and promoting volunteerism in Hong Kong, across the border or overseas.
